We got this a couple weeks before Brooke came (thanks grandma Laurie and PopPop.)
I built the baby crib, then realized it didn't fit through the door. So I disassembled and rebuilt it.

G'Bye Uncle Chad

Uncle Chad let us know that he was Brooke's favorite uncle. That is quite a title as Brooke has eleven uncles. (Troy, Chad, Casey, Joe, Matthew, Danny, Nick, Cory, Kendall, Brock, and Wyatt)

Chad recently moved to Portland Oregon, and we all miss him a lot.

Brooke loves to sleep on our chests. It's one of Bob's favorite things to do with her right after he gets home from work. That and playing Nintendo.

Brooke went with Holly and Grandma Terrilyn to Swiss Days in Midway. Grandma Laurie couldn't go, but she sent some cash for Brooke to spend on something pretty.

Brooke's little hands have quite the dexterity when it comes to the binky. She was holding it in at the hospital!

Brooke didn't like her baths at first, but now we use running sink water and shower her. Julie gave us that sweet bathtub.
Uncle Nick. Little does Brooke know that he is the mean uncle. Well, maybe not a mean uncle, but he was the mean brother.

The newborn clothes were too big for her. We love those night shirts that make late night diaper changing much easier. Thanks Kristen!
Brooke is a high maintenece baby. She demanded a tanning bed immediatly after coming home.

She had a stressful day. She went right to the NICU for CPAP. It's like the pressurized oxygen that fighter pilot use at altitude. Everything went well and she was out of there in an hour.

My Baby Shower

Father's Day

Today was Bob's first Father's Day that he could be honored. Though his main Father's Day gift from Brooke and Holly won't come til July 11, he still got a good couple of gifts. Most notably the Hazmat suit from his parents pictured here.
The "Daddy's Diaper Duty" ™ by the Duclos Bros. Innovations® mastermind that I call Mom, includes: apron, mask, goggles, tongs, wipes, distraction toy, diapers, baby powder, baby lotion, baby oil, gloves, hand sanitizer, and, my favorite Bordreaux's Butt Paste®.

Holly was especially excited now that Bob is well equipped to handle anything that might come out of the new baby.

"Something" in the Mail

Bob has been anticipating a package in the mail. "What is in this package?" you ask? Well, let's just find out! Somethingstore.com sells you a random unspecified Something for $10. Curiosity killed the cat and got $20 from Bob (he bought two.) Here is what happened when Something finally came...

The first thing is.... an eggling? Wha?!?!

Apparently, this is not your ordinary egg. Inside the egg you find planted seeds. You crack open the top, water it, and you get a small plant after a while. Sweet.

Second Something: a small box with golden inlays. Holly is stoked to
put baby bracelets and other tiny jewelry-type items inside.

Other Somethings from the SomethingStore seemed more promising.

So we decided to each choose one of the Somethings before we opened them (they were individually wrapped) and get to keep our own. Bob got the eggy thing. Holly got the box. Who came out on top? Did Bob get ripped off? Are you going to get your own Something? Answer and comment!!!

Birthiversarary!

Bob's Birthday is the same day as Holly and Bob's anniversary. This was our first, woo!! In our long car ride we both agreed that our happiest memory of the past year was a late November day, when we found out that Holly is pregnant. We had Bob 's birthday early, because the hard-to-get present (a Nintendo Wii) that Holly decided to get for him was available a few weeks ago. We also had cake and ice cream with friends at Bob's parents (who will be referred to as Grandma and Grandpa now) before going on a long trip.
Cory worked hard to make a cake for Bob on the actual day. Noel worked hard to tip it over inside the cake container.
Mr. Jelly Belly got a little friendly with Bob at the anniversary/birthday party at the Jelly Belly factory.
The one-year anniversary was marked by eating the thing that has taken way too much room in our freezer for so long. We realized a couple of days before we ate it that our wedding cake had not been sealed in anything, it was just in a cardboard box. It tasted like a year of freezer burn.

Quasi-Immortalized

Bob and his crew at the warehouse at work were immortalized, at least until the painting gets destroyed. Some might recognize a couple of others in the painting. For those that don't, it's Bob and Holly's brother-in-law Joe, and also cousin Kody.

Baby News!

Our ultrasound was 19 March and we are having a GIRL!!!

Things have been going well. While Holly is growing a small miracle, Bob has been busy too. With tax return money he bought a mattress (mostly for Holly, Bob can sleep comfortably anywhere) and a TV (mostly for himself, Holly can watch any TV and be happy.)
Bob's friend Jude reminded us of a Redneck Joke, something like "If you've got a working TV on top of a broken TV, you might be a redneck."
Our lower TV is NOT, however, broken. Therefore we are NOT rednecks.

Also Bob is building up some cross country flight hours. Below are some pictures of his adventure to Arizona. He left work in Orem at 12:00, had late lunch in Arizona at 2:30 and free China Lily in Lindon with Holly at 6:30. The food was free because we had a bet with Sylvia. If she guessed our baby's gender wrong she had to pay. WE WON!!!
